The only hard part is choosing which dazzling array to experience – they’ll all leave you awestruck as they light up the beautiful Florida sky.

Official City of Jacksonville Fireworks Viewing Locations

Celebrate Independence Day with a bang! Jacksonville’s Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration is back, bringing dazzling displays to multiple locations across the city. Mark your calendars for 9 p.m. on July 4, 2024, and get ready to enjoy an unforgettable evening with family and friends. The five locations for the City of Jacksonville’s official Independance Day fireworks are:

  • Downtown Jacksonville
  • Ray Greene Park (Note: The park will be closed for the launch)
  • The Avenues Mall
  • Trinity Baptist Church
  • Ed Austin Regional Park

There are great viewing spots all along the North and South banks along the St. Johns River, as well as from surrounding areas near the additional launch sites. Get your red, white and blue outfits ready because Jacksonville knows how to light up the night sky. JAX really knocks it out of the park!

There is no better way to bring the night to an end than feeling the beach sand within your toes and watching as the fireworks light up the sky. Get ready to be enthralled in the sound of the waves and the fireworks exploding in the sky.

Bring the whole crew to celebrate America’s birthday with fireworks from the Jacksonville Beach Pier (504 1st St. N.) on Thursday, July 4 at 9 p.m. Before the fireworks, the Navy Band will perform at the Seawalk Pavilion from 8 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. If you’ve never experienced 4th of July fireworks in Jacksonville, the beach is an incredible place to start.

This is another excellent place to take the entire family to watch the fireworks over Jacksonville. The real attraction is the fireworks held along St. Johns River with viewing areas on both the north and south banks. As the longest river flowing in Florida (over 310 miles long) and emptying into the Atlantic Ocean, you can just imagine the kids running along the riverbanks with their newly made friends as the celebrations take place all around Jacksonville’s 7 famous bridges. The fireworks also start at 9 p.m. Parking is free after 6 p.m.

Want to shop and still have a great time on the 4th of July? The Avenues Mall is the place for both retail therapy and some of the best fireworks in Jacksonville! With more than 150 stores at the family favorite shopping destination in Jacksonville, you are sure to have a swell time while walking down the shopping aisles. There’s free Wi-Fi, a children’s play area, accessibility features, a mobile device charging station and many others. The evening will culminate in a spectacular fireworks display over Downtown Jacksonville.

Throwback Baseball Game – An American Classic

Celebrate July 4th with a nostalgic twist at Klutho Park (204 W 3rd Street) from 10 am to 2 pm. Join the Springfield Preservation and Revitalization Council for a free, fun-filled day featuring a Throwback Baseball Game that promises to transport you back in time.

  • Authentic Experience: Watch the Eastside Reds take on the Westside Giants, all dressed in turn-of-the-century uniforms and using vintage equipment. It’s as close to baseball history as you can get!

Fireworks Over the Matanzas (St. Augustine)

“Fireworks Over The Matanzas,” a 20-minute aerial display of pyrotechnics high over Matanzas Bay, begins at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 4. The fireworks, which can be seen over the bayfront between the Castillo de San Marcos National Monument and the Bridge of Lions, are set to a soundtrack of patriotic music. Festivities will begin at 6 p.m., including a performance by The All-Star Orchestra. Everyone attending should find their parking area prior to 8 p.m., when road closures begin.

The ‘Fireworks Over the Matanzas’ is a four-hour-long celebration of America’s birth. Live musical performances of big band and swing music are scheduled in Plaza de la Constitución and the stunning fireworks display is held over the bayfront and the Castillo de San Marcos.

The fireworks themselves are spectacular and you’re encouraged to bring your own blankets and lawn chairs to secure yourself the best seat in the house. The best viewing point is between the Bridge of Lions and the Castillo; get yourself situated there and you’ll have an amazing view of the 20-minute-long fireworks show. 

American Pride 4th of July (Orange Park)

Moosehaven is the place to be in Clay County on Independence Day! Gates open at 5 p.m. Chairs and blankets are welcome but please no pets, coolers, or firearms. Free parking is available at Moosehaven. Please enter through the ‘Old Main Gate’ located off Park Ave.
